This class is designed to teach you the basic fundamentals of twerking in combination with glute focused exercises. The class will begin with a warmup, focusing heavily on legs, glutes and back muscles. You will learn different twerk moves that will be combined into short sequences for each track. Finish off the class with a deep and juicy stretching session.
To get the most out of your twerk class it is recommended that you wear shorts and a tank top/sports bra. The reasoning for this minimalist approach is to not have loose clothing getting in your way, and to allow maximum movement.
However, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible, so please feel free to wear leggings/yoga pants (try to find something that is not too tight and restrictive).
KNEE PADS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Volleyball knee pads are the best and you can typically find a pair between $10 and $20 at Walmart or Amazon. If you are unable to get a pair, please have a yoga mat.
